Zach Adelstein, from Merrick, NY, is a talented pitcher, outfielder, and third baseman for JFK Bellmore. Zach has competed in the JCC Maccabi Games in 2024 and 2025, winning gold both years and creating memories he will treasure for a lifetime. His favorite moment from the Games? “Winning the gold back-to-back years,” a reflection of the hard work, dedication, and teamwork that Zach brings to every game.
Being part of Team Maccabi has been transformative for Zach, giving him new friendships and forging strong bonds both on and off the field. He shares that representing his community and Jewish identity “meant a lot, especially with the times we are going through today,” highlighting the pride and connection he feels through this unique experience.
Zach began playing baseball at the age of 4 and has competed for several teams, including MB Thunder, Storm Chasers, 110 Baseball, LIB, and Aces Academy. As a pitcher, he loves the challenge of being in control of the game, and he credits his dad as the biggest influence in his baseball career, always guiding him to improve and be his best.
His baseball goals include winning a county championship, while his aspirations off the field involve going to college and pursuing a career in business. Zach draws inspiration from MLB star Aaron Judge, studying his dedication and approach to the game.
Beyond baseball, Zach enjoys spending time with friends, going to the beach, and playing spikeball, showing the fun and social side of a focused and determined athlete. Zach Adelstein is a committed player, a proud representative of his community, and a young man whose journey in baseball and life continues to grow with each new experience.
