For Chase Eichner, baseball has been an 11-year journey built around leadership, competition, and a love for being at the center of the action. Representing Stony Brook, NY, and Ward Melville, Chase has developed into a talented catcher who embraces the responsibility of leading his team while proudly representing his community through the JCC Maccabi Games.

​

Chase competed in the 2026 JCC Maccabi Games, and his favorite memory was helping his team accomplish something special—“getting the 3-peat.” After three consecutive gold medals, Chase became part of a remarkable championship tradition, and the accomplishment was about much more than simply winning another tournament.

​

Being part of Team Maccabi also gave Chase a different perspective on what happens away from the field. “I learned how exciting the game could be off the field when you have a group of guys that think about winning when they aren’t playing.” For Chase, the competitive spirit and commitment of his teammates made the entire experience special, creating a team that stayed focused on its goal even when the players weren't between the lines.

Representing his Jewish identity added another important dimension to the experience. “It meant not just winning for myself and the team, but winning for who I am and my culture.” Wearing the Maccabi uniform allowed Chase to compete for something bigger than himself while proudly representing his Jewish heritage.

Chase has been playing baseball for 11 years and has played for the Three Village Patriots, Body Armor Titans, Team Francisco, Showtime, MVP, and Ward Melville. His primary position is catcher, a role that perfectly suits his personality and approach to the game. “I love controlling the game, managing the staff and calling pitches.” From working with pitchers to managing the defense, Chase embraces the responsibility that comes with being the player behind the plate.

His biggest influence throughout his baseball career has been his dad. Chase credits him with supporting him throughout his entire journey while teaching him how to carry himself both on and off the field. Those lessons have helped shape Chase not only as a baseball player, but as a teammate and young man.

Chase’s baseball goal is to play college baseball at a great school, while his ultimate dream is to eventually play professionally. Academically, he hopes to combine baseball with his education by attending a high-academic school. While he isn't completely sure yet what career path he will pursue after college, he knows he wants his future to include both education and baseball.

​

His favorite MLB player is Buster Posey, one of the great catchers of his generation. Posey’s leadership, intelligence, and ability to control a game from behind the plate make him a fitting inspiration for Chase as he continues developing his own skills as a catcher.

Away from baseball, Chase has a softer side. He is the proud owner of a dog and three fish, giving him plenty of company when he's not busy working on his baseball goals.

Chase Eichner is more than a catcher. He is a leader, a competitor, a proud Jewish athlete, and now a three-time Maccabi gold medalist. His ability to control a game from behind the plate mirrors the leadership he brings to his teammates, and his 2026 Maccabi experience showed him just how powerful a group can be when everyone shares the same goal. The three-peat may be in the books, but Chase’s baseball story is just beginning.
